On August 7, the Chinese National Patent Office issued a utility model patent certificate to Group Chairman Li Weibo. Chairman Li is an honorary professor of the International American University (IAU) and an honorary doctor of the University of West Alabama (UWA) of USA. Considering the transportation limitations in super-lager mines, Chairman Li filed the "A kind of Multi-Group Parallel Switchback Transportation" patent application, aiming to solve the transportation problems for mines with an annual output of more than ten million tons. This patent makes improvements of the traditional switchback transportation. This kind of transportation is composed of several groups of switchback transportation, with each group independent of the other. Each group has three independent rails to ensure clear pathways. By this, the transportation requirements of super-large mines can be met. This kind of transportation enables integrated transportation, convenient transportation system, easy scheduling and maintenance, high safety level and less engineering work, which is able to solve the transportation problems of the mineshafts of the Dataigou Mining Project.
