The School of Hotel held rehearsal teaching on February 27, 2014. Lecturers from housekeeping department, lobby department, and spa reception department participated in the rehearsal teaching. Mr. Wang Piwei, Vice Principal of Glory Harvest University, and Mr. Liu Haiqing, Dean of School of Hotel, served as judges. They commented on their performance respectively and put forward suggestions for improvement.

The lecturer from housekeeping department simulated the scenario of hotel training, and elaborated on the procedure of housekeeping services including bed-making details and layout of articles in guest rooms. The lecturer from spa reception department rehearsed a lesson on service procedures in Male Guest Room and Female Guest Room. Then the lecturer from lobby department taught a simulation lesson on the standard and procedure of lobby services. Subsequently, the judges made detailed comments on their performance from the perspectives of training contents, teaching skills, and demonstration methods. According to Mr. Liu Haiqing, it is necessary to make service procedures clear and highlight service features in training. He also stressed that lecturers should prepare training courses in comprehensive, specific, and detailed manners. Moreover, Mr. Wang Piwei emphasized the training purpose of delivering more effective training to attract trainees to study with interest.

The rehearsal teaching held by the School of Hotel is an integral part of lecturer management. It plays an important role in optimizing teaching staff and improving the teaching quality of Glory Harvest University.
