The construction of Dataigou’s first mine commenced on March 5 at Taigou Village in Benxi. A ceremony was held to celebrate the commencement featuring officials of local government and employees of Dataigou Mining Co., Ltd.

According to the local officials, the Dataigou Iron Ore Project is a big move for Benxi. The local government promised to make every effort to support the implementation of the project. The project has set a good example for the other enterprises in the district, and would surely enhance the industrial and economic strengths of Dataigou and promote the economic and social development of Pingshan district.

Mr. Zhang, the general manager of Dataigou Mining said his team will exercise high standards of professionalism to complete all engineering tasks and make greater contributions to the economic development of Benxi.

The first three mines are expected to be completed in 2014 and the first mine has a depth of 1,250 meters.
