The Urban Renewal Project of Zhongkang sub-district, Meilin was launched in March this year. The project was well run by Chairman Li's careful planning and Old Town Reconstruction Office's active promotions. In order to benefit more proprietors, Glory Harvest Group has recently made a decision to expand the reconstruction area in Zhongkang sub-district of Meilin and reconstruct the Shangmeilin Bus Terminal and Fumao Garden to the north of the Hongyun Building.

The Fumao Garden covers an area of about 2,400.17 square meters, including two eight-floor residential buildings and a waste recycle station. The Shangmeilin Bus Terminal covers has approximate land area of 2964.57 square meters.

The original reconstruction area of the Meilin Zhongkang sub-district only included Dongmei Bachelor Apartment and Hongyun Building, which is close to the intersection of Metro Line 4 and Line 9. Glory Harvest Group plans to build a high-end urban complex and new Futian landmark which covers a floor area of 300,000 square meters  to accommodate shopping center, hotels, office buildings and residential buildings.

The total floor area of the Hongyun Building is 9,412.07 square meters, and the group has now signed demolition agreements with proprietors of an area of 6,215.89 square meters, equaling 66.1% of the total area. The Hongyun Building has 121 proprietors, and 81 of them have signed demolition agreements with the group, representing 66.9% of the proprietors.

The total floor area of the Dongmei Bachelor Building and the Vienna Hotel is 24,964.57 square meters, and the group has signed agreements with proprietors of 18,248.7 square meters, representing 74.7% of the total area. The Dongmei Bachelor Building and the Vienna Hotel has 256 proprietors, and 145 of them have signed the agreements, which equals to 56.6% of the total number of proprietors.

The Meilin Zhongkang Old Town Reconstruction Office will next enhance the current renewal work and continue to contact proprietors of the Hongyun Building and Dongmei Bachelor Apartment to sign the Urban Renewal Proxy. Also, it would assess the specific conditions of the Fumao Gardon and Shangmeilin Bus Terminal and get the proxy ready.
