Chairman Li Donates 500 Million Yuan to Benxi Charity Federation

On May 23, 2014, Chairman Li Weibo was bestowed the honorary title of "Benxi Outstanding Philanthropist" and donated 5 million yuan to Benxi Charity Federation at the evening party of "5.23 Charity Day" in Benxi. The money would be paid in five years since 2014, 1 million yuan per annum, used in charitable projects in Benxi, such as the elderly relief program, tuition remission program, medical relief program, poverty alleviation program and the disable relief program, in order to further promote the philanthropy in Benxi. 
At the party, Vice Mayor of Benxi Huang Liqiang announced the decision made by the municipal government. He pointed out that, in 2013, Chairman Li Weibo showed the spirit of "good deed in Benxi, charity without boundaries" and made positive contribution to improving people's well being and constructing the harmonious society. Via recommendation by the Benxi Charity Federation, the people's government of Benxi decided to award him the honorary title of "Benxi Outstanding Philanthropist". 

Chairman Li founded Benxi Dataigou Mining Co., Ltd. in 2008, which establishes a close tie with this fertile land since then. With the principle of "fulfilling one's own responsibility and giving back to society", Chairman Li Weibo donated millions of money and established the "Dream Center" multi-media classrooms in many schools in Benxi, which not only improves conditions of basic education in remote areas, but more importantly, introduces the advanced education methods from developed area into these areas. In an inspection visit to this school, Deputy County Chief Wang Yan sang high praise of Chairman Li's philanthropic projects, and commented that this method was worth learning, and dream centers should be built on a larger scale. In addition, Benxi Dataigou Mining Co., Ltd. visits the army in Benxi each year, celebrate Army Day with local officers and soldier and give them essential items. 

With the outstanding contribution to the charity work in Benxi, Chairman Li earned the glorious title "Benxi Outstanding Philanthropist", and was elected Vice Chairman of Benxi Charity Federation in the Second Session of the Fourth Council Meeting of Benxi Charity Federation.
